On his relationship with Tracy:
I am like wild partner of Obama, Joe Biden. I act impulsively and Tracy pulls me into the circle of reason.
On what teachers can do to support the learning of their students:
Learning is prompted by belief in each child’s intelligence, not standardized testing. Give students a love of learning rather than a fear of failure.
On the process of making art and movies:
Painting is intuition expressed through pictures, pushed out like ocean waves from your hands. It’s more like inner impulses. Movies are more like playing with images and sound to create looks into emotions.
How has your communication changed since you started typing?
I love to order potentially expensive steaks by typing filet mignon.
On the process of communicating through typing and speaking:
Placing iPad in front of me is a signal to get off my butt and plentifully share my malicious sense of humor. I love talking but need more practice to make Obama- like oration.
People like me are too darn opinionated to limit our communication. Looking at people like tea partiers make me verbose.
Why do you need the support of touch to type?
Your question leads Larry to sloppily type. It’s lack of potentially purposeful movement. I lose practically all my focus without touch like the president on prompter.
On what it is like to work on trying to change your own behavior:
Working on mopping up my autistic patterns is like working on more lasting love between political parties. Ordering me to stop (my behavior) doesn’t help. I need calm, reducing anxiety, patient patterning of my actions into something productive like typing.
Larry owes his ordering of self to people around him placing words of encouragement on his partly bald head and more people like Larry potentially may live passion driven rather than behavior pushed lives.

I am nothing short of lucky, given only small puddles in my yard after the storm of the century inundated our packed with streams, rivers and, very water-holing for swimming, ponds, landscape here in Vermont. People are seeing very lasting damage to homes, roads and bridges. Killing lots of nice gardens are pictured on front page of newspaper, nightly news dominating, rapidly flowing, erratically turning over, progressively picking up more and more debris, raging waters of, landlocked from ocean, land of Green Mountain men, Larry and Tracy.
It is population-keeping-to-mass-transit-run cities that get a reprieve. Soddened by potent, weatherman’s nightmare, rebelling against good for predicting lots of tanning days forecasts, going into the long night, massive hurricane, Vermonters are stymied but valiantly look ahead to a more peaceful time. All open to listening to the music of our voices for political and social change, we might signal over and out to the rest of the country that we look again to our inner strength, a natural source inside of ourselves, operating like powerfully good heat-producing woodstoves, to wave off adversity and bring in prosperity again.
It’s words I know but only an communication, lingering in silence treated like mute, challenged person like me needs this moment to express thoughts on a stormy day in Vermont.

This week we are doing a photo post about Larry the Artist:
Last week Larry was invited to give presentation and show the documentary short My Classic Life as an Artist at a wind energy firm in Vermont. The event was for the opening of a permanent art collection with Larry having several pieces in it. The organizer of the collection had seen W & J and was thrilled to have Larry come and show the short film and present about his artwork.

Pale ears and nose, primarily looking like a student from icy, wintry temperatures, land, Larry is about to go to good for getting up early to beat the heat, Orlando, Florida, giving Miami a run for its money now that it is hosting the ASA (Autism National Society of America) national conference.
Marking our travels of movie star personalities will be Pascal, opting to use digital and not Polaroid camera. Pivoting lots of clumsy pirouettes to view the camera lens with massively wide “cheese” smiles, Tracy and Larry will picture themselves on lushly shaded beaches, tasting chilled Sprites in delicate, channeling liquids in tiny quantities, champagne glasses.
Orlando here we come listing tables of buffet sandwiches as our second stop after our keynote this Saturday at the combining business with pleasure conference.
