Thoughts on a Stormy Day in Vermont

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

I am nothing short of lucky, given only small puddles in my yard after the storm of the century inundated our packed with streams, rivers and, very water-holing for swimming, ponds, landscape here in Vermont. People are seeing very lasting damage to homes, roads and bridges.  Killing lots of nice gardens are pictured on front page of newspaper, nightly news dominating, rapidly flowing, erratically turning over, progressively picking up more and more debris, raging waters of, landlocked from ocean, land of Green Mountain men, Larry and Tracy.

It is population-keeping-to-mass-transit-run cities that get a reprieve. Soddened by potent, weatherman’s nightmare, rebelling against good for predicting lots of tanning days forecasts, going into the long night, massive hurricane, Vermonters are stymied but valiantly look ahead to a more peaceful time.  All open to listening to the music of our voices for political and social change, we might signal over and out to the rest of the country that we look again to our inner strength, a natural source inside of ourselves, operating like powerfully good heat-producing woodstoves, to wave off adversity and bring in prosperity again.

It’s words I know but only an communication, lingering in silence treated like mute, challenged person like me needs this moment to express thoughts on a stormy day in Vermont.

My Classic Life

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

This week we are doing a photo post about Larry the Artist:

Last week Larry was invited to give presentation and show the documentary short My Classic Life as an Artist at a wind energy firm in Vermont. The event was for the opening of a permanent art collection with Larry having several pieces in it. The organizer of the collection had seen W & J and was thrilled to have Larry come and show the short film and present about his artwork.

Feeling cool in Orlando

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

Pale ears and nose, primarily looking like a student from icy, wintry temperatures, land, Larry is about to go to good for getting up early to beat the heat, Orlando, Florida, giving Miami a run for its money now that it is hosting the ASA (Autism National Society of America) national conference.

Marking our travels of movie star personalities will be Pascal, opting to use digital and not Polaroid camera. Pivoting lots of clumsy pirouettes to view the camera lens with massively wide “cheese” smiles, Tracy and Larry will picture themselves on lushly shaded beaches, tasting chilled Sprites in delicate, channeling liquids in tiny quantities, champagne glasses.

Orlando here we come listing tables of buffet sandwiches as our second stop after our keynote this Saturday at the combining business with pleasure conference.
